A brand pack carries the name, colors, logo, character names, hidden apps, music and voice settings (never keys, photos or progress), so another family can load your setup in one step.
Talking apps only (recommended): Talk, Stories, Quiz, Say It, Show Me, Robo Draws, Sing, Baby, Bedtime, My TV and the Mailbox speak. Every other app shows picture cards instead. Your family recordings below always play, in every mode.
A different voice for each character: paste an ElevenLabs voice ID per character (blank = the voice ID above), or pick an OpenAI voice. โถ plays a test line. If you change voices, clear the saved voice cache so old lines get re-made.
Cloud voices are cached on this device after the first time, so repeats cost nothing and work offline. Each character gets its own voice.
i2 miniOS comes with its own calm, original tunes. Add your own tracks too (mp3, wav, m4a, ogg). They're stored on this device and play softly on the home screen โ or everywhere except the music, talking and video apps. Music dips automatically whenever a character talks. Tap ๐ต on the taskbar to skip a track.
Record your own voice. When an app would say one of these (praise, numbers, colours, animals, letters, family namesโฆ) it plays you instead โ even in apps that are otherwise quiet. Tap โ to record (4 s max), tap again to stop.
For the Family app. Photos are shrunk and kept on this device only โ never sent anywhere. Name each one the way your child says it (Grandma, Abuelaโฆ).
Auto uses LM Studio on your home PC when it's on, and the cloud key when it isn't. Once a week the brain also writes a story, a quiz, letters from the cast and real-world missions for the theme of the week. Speech recognition needs Wi-Fi either way.
In LM Studio โ Developer: start the server, turn on Serve on Local Network and Enable CORS. Allow LM Studio through Windows Firewall on Private networks.
Keys stay in this browser on this device only. They are never included in backups or brand packs, and are only ever sent to the provider you picked. Give them a low monthly spending limit. Privacy: Show Me sends one camera snapshot to the robot brain each time ๐ธ is pressed. Color Hunt, Silly Mirror and Family photos never leave the device.
Claude draws Robo Draws pictures, story pictures and Sticker Maker stickers as clean vector art, using the Claude API key from the Robot brain section (even if the robot brain itself is set to your home PC or OpenAI). Claude doesn't make photos; it draws with shapes. If ComfyUI is on below, it still makes the Sticker Maker and story pictures, and Claude is the backup. Kid-safe, cartoon-only instructions are built in.
Start ComfyUI with --listen --enable-cors-header "*" and allow it through the firewall on Private networks. The child never types a prompt: they pick a thing, a colour and a style, and i2 miniOS fills a fixed, kid-safe template (with a safety negative prompt). If ComfyUI is off or unreachable, the Sticker Maker makes stickers on its own.
Import single-file HTML games you made (like a golf game). They run in a locked-down frame inside My Games.
When time's up, a sleepy screen appears. To add 30 minutes, hold the moon for 3 seconds and answer the grown-up question.
Toddler lock (recommended): Esc, the Windows key, Alt+Tab, Ctrl shortcuts and F-keys are captured while i2 miniOS is full screen (on the kiosk laptop, or after pressing โถ on the taskbar in Chrome or Edge), so slapping the keyboard can't close or switch anything. Fast slapping turns into a light show instead of pressing buttons in games. Key Party is the app made for slapping. Grown-up shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+O opens the Hoot question. To leave full screen yourself, hold Esc for 2 seconds.
Calm keeps the home screen simple: the clock, 4 favourite apps and the friends, with no moving season effects or blinking badges. Mail, the map, the pet and stickers move into the Start menu. Classic shows everything like before.
After a few quiet minutes on the home screen, a 90s screensaver plays: a bouncing logo, flying friends, or pipes. Any touch or key wakes it up.
Closes i2 miniOS until the next restart or sign-in (works with the kiosk install script; otherwise it reopens in a few seconds).
Untick an app to hide it from the Start menu, home screen and map (for example the robot-brain apps if you don't use a key).
Saves this whole computer as one file (i2minios.html). Open it in Chrome or Edge on any laptop โ it runs with no internet.
One file with progress, settings, recordings, photos, creations and imported games. API keys are not included.
